Rare and embarrassing photograph unearthed!!!

This rare photo was recently discovered at the Carnival Cruise Lines main office in Miami, Florida. Juan Felipe Martinez, an eighteen-year veteran CCL custodian who was cleaning out a storeroom in CCL’s Entertainment Department, unearthed the pic amongst others in a dusty Absolut Citron crate. Historians from the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC used carbon dating to determine the photo was taken during the 2002 New Year’s Eve cruise on the Carnival Victory. It appears from the pic that Ron was not only wearing a tuxedo while performing, but he was also singing show tunes. An inscription on the back of the photo reads, “Dear Ron, Thank you once again for making this week so enjoyable for me. I loved singing with you, especially the show tunes. Gratefully, Joanie.”
Ron, an avowed anti-show-tuneist, was reached for comment at his home in Las Vegas, stating, “It’s clear I was wearing a tuxedo. But the fact there’s a show tune book propped in front of me at the piano is not proof that I actually performed any show tunes. I can neither confirm nor deny I sang show tunes in my piano bar. The photo probably has been digitally altered to publicly embarrass me. I don’t doubt this is the work of Brad Alexander.”
Alexander, another popular piano entertainer, could not be reached aboard the Carnival Freedom for comment on Ron’s allegation.
Ron will join the entertainment team for Carnival’s newest, largest, and most innovative ship, the Carnival Splendor. After a vacation at home, Ron will join the ship’s start-up team at the shipyard in Genoa, Italy in late June.
Ron was the featured interview in Carnival Senior Cruise Director John Heald’s internet blog. John’s blog has seen overwhelming success, with well over a million hits, since it was launched in 2007. John (pictured left, with Ron) also won an industry award for most innovative website, where he posts a behind the scenes commentary about cruises, ports, and ship experiences.
